About the job

We’re a small, active but damp environmental organisation in Digbeth, Birmingham! We have damp affecting one room of our community building and are seeking someone specialist to advise us on solutions.

What will you be doing?

We’re seeking someone with damp specialism or at least experience of that aspect of construction, to come for a site visit, observe the building inside and out and advise us on what is likely to be causing our damp problems in our medium meeting room and how they might be resolved in as cost effective a way as possible. A virtual ‘video’ visit could possibly be arranged if someone further away is interested and able to help us.

What are we looking for?

A damp specialist or someone with experience of dealing with damp problems with a construction or property maintenance background.

Someone who can explain things clearly in writing to non-specialists and ideally has tips on delivering the solution in a cost effective way for a pandemic-affected non-profit.

What difference will you make?

This would have a big impact on us as it would help us deliver a solution that will prevent further material damage and make the room more pleasant to be in and therefore more lettable. This helps us serve our community by providing quality meeting space and by funding our campaigns activities.
