The Vegan Society makes veganism more accessible and an easily adopted approach by supporting individuals, policy and decision makers, caterers, manufacturers, health care professionals and the media.

In order to meet our ambitious growth plans for the next few years, we need to recruit some additional people to join our team in our new offices conveniently located by Snow Hill station in Birmingham. As such we are looking to recruit a Marketing Assistant for our Business Development Team. The Business Development team generate the majority of income for the charity via the Vegan Trademark license fees and sales of our vegan multivitamin, VEG 1.

These Include

The Business Development marketing team manage various supporting activities for both the operational and sales teams, in relation to the vegan trademark and VEG 1, this will lead to the raised public profile of vegan products.

Lead generation activities (B2B)

Brand awareness campaigns (B2B and B2C)

Coordinate and advise on marketing opportunities for our trademark holders.

Promote VEG 1 wholesale opportunities (B2B)

Brand awareness and sales of VEG 1 products direct to customers (B2C)

As Marketing Assistant within our Business Development Team, you will;

Be responsible for supporting B2B and B2C marketing activities for the vegan trademark and VEG 1. This includes a mix of online advertising activities, content creation and moderation for our social media channels, attending events and talking with trademark holders.

Develop marketing materials as needed to support the Digital and VEG 1 Marketing Officers.

Create content and copywriting for a variety of channels.

Support with trademark and VEG1 social media B2C channels – both moderating and scheduling posts.

Monitor various inboxes relating to marketing and responding accordingly.

Maintain an awareness days tracker.

Document all trademark B2C activity and communications in the CRM.

Support the VEG 1 Marketing Officer on projects.

Work collaboratively with the events officer and communications manager to support with trademark and VEG 1 events.

To be considered as our Marketing Assistant for the Business Development Team, you will need;

Experience ofmarketing and content design

1+ years experience of Marketing /Design/ Client relations experience.

Experience of delivering marketing activities for sales.

Experience creating content for social media

Proficiency in the adobe editing suite.

You must be willing to adhere to a vegan lifestyle for the duration of your employment.

Central Birmingham office location (our roles are typically office-based, however remote working will be in place until social distancing measures are relaxed/removed. After these restrictions are eased a flexible work schedule could be considered).
